If you are Mrs Volker,Would you really care if you are the last original Norvelter,Would you have that much confidance in your lifespan to make a comitment to Mrs Rosevelt?

  1. I would care about keeping the promise to Mrs.Roosevelt to watch over the health of their town, Norvelt. But that means Mrs.Volker would have to stay alive forever but even as she gets more older she won't have any energy to do anything so I don't know how she would be able to watch over Norvelt forever. But if I were Mrs.Volker I would watch over Norvelts health for as long as I was alive and healthy.

  3. I wouldn't make a commitment to Mr.Roosevelt but I support who does. If I were Mrs.Volker yes I would try to keep my promise but when I die I die and there's no way I can keep that commitment. It just seems so stressful to have a job like Mrs.Volker, but it impresses me of what Mrs.Volker can do. When she is told something she does it no mater what, she stays committed.Mrs.Volker is someone you can trust with your secrets and promises. But no I don't think I would have that much confidence, I'm just not a confident person like Mrs.Volker.

  4. I would have someone like Jack watch over Norvelt when I die because I can't live forever watching Norvelt and that is the way it is regardless of what I think will happen but as long as I live I would try to watch over Norvelt and keep it safe.

  5. I would, only because of the promise to Mrs.Roosevelt. But to be fair I would have no control. People die even when they don't want to. My grandfather died age 64 of a heart attack. I don't think he expected that. Neither did 9 year old me. I found him dead, my brother didn't believe me. I open his eyes when he was dead. I did everything I could to try and wake him up. I turned loud music on, I ripped his pillows out from under him, I did everything but realize what was happening. I stayed up till 3 in the morning and that is when I went to bed. When the paramedics told me(after they got there and did tests, and told me he was dead)he died around the same time I went to bed I have blamed myself for that. 4 months later my great grandmother died,It was an open casket I saw her too. My grandfather, and my great grandmother are probably the reason I am not afraid of dead people. The point is we have no way of knowing when people die. Death just creeps up on you. So Miss.Volker should not have made that promise. She should have said she would try to be the last Norvelter.

  6. Miss Volker is a very confident woman even if she makes the commitment to watch over Norvelt she is brave enough to believe that she can live for a long time to watch over Norvelt not even me can tell when a my life ends. You can die of a heart attack a disease or an accident people like Miss Volker is brave, she made the commitment to Mrs. Roosevelt to watch over Norvelt until it's gone, she made her do the obituaries of the Norvelters that died, so people can remember them and she watches over the health of the Norvelt. If you have that much confidence in you to think you can live for a long time you are a brave person and to make a promise. Miss Volker kept her promise to watch over Norvelt and to watch over its health.
