Yes, I do think that Jack's mom was over reacting because when Jack's dad flew right over the house he yelled "Jerk" and she could have just said " Stay away from the house or don't even drive your J-3". I also think Jack's mom was over reacting because when Jack said "Looks like fun" his Mom immediately said "Dangerous you mean" and I can just imagine her saying it with anger and frustration.
