Well since Jack likes Mertie-Jo I would try to stay away from her if I were Jack because it would be kind of awkward to start talking to her and her dad since I wouldn't know what to say and I would probably start to blush if she were to talk to me. Also sometimes people just start blabing out words when they're excited and I may start talking about how much I like her and after she may think I'm a weirdo.
If I were Jack I would wouldn't want to but at the same time I do, because Jack would probably want to see her and say good-bye, but if Jack has to talk to her he might not be able to make a conversation and there would be an awkward.
