I thought that his dad might get hurt in the fire and have burn't himself or I thought he might not come back because fires can easily burn you and if a peice of ash got on his close the ash could burn his close and maybe even his skin.
I think that Jack's dad will be ok becaue he is a very careful person and it's not like he will say, "THIS IS SPARTA", and run in the fire.Jack's dad will probably not do a ton of work because he is a volunteer there.
