No because I would be terrified of Jack getting hurt or something going wrong and Jack's dad could have gotten some friends or people he knows that know what to do and wouldn't brake it or get hurt doing it. So if I were Jack's mother I wouldn't have let him help, I'd rather he be safe and not get hurt and that would be my fault if he did because I let him so I don't want to be the reason he gets hurt.
No. If he is grounded then he should be doing chores and not be doing fun stuff. I would also would not let him take a flight in the plane while he is grounded because he made his own decisions and they were not the best decisions. So I would not let him help with the J3 or take a flight in it.
