Well I wouldn't want to because I wouldn't know what to do and if I should talk to them and what I should should talk about with them. But if I weren't to talk to them or do anything, they would probably stare at me like there's something gross on my face but if I had to I would although it would very uncomfortable and awkward.
If I was Jack and I had the choice to go home or to sit by the elderly I really don't know what to do because if I go home it's just plain rude, just because you don't know what to say to the elderly it doesn't mean you have to go home you can just sit there and try to make a conversation, but if I just sit there I wouldn't know what to say because the elderly have important conversations and Jack is just a little kid he wouldn't know what to say.
