Maybe because he knows that in the movies they are just playing "Dead" but in real life he knows that the people he see (with is own eyes, in person) who are dead are actually "Dead" so that might have an effect on his emotions towards real "Dead" people compared to "Dead" people.
Maybe because death in movies just seem to dramatic then they actually are but also it can be thrilling. But in real life most people are just sad for a while later on they get over it.
