I would think that Jack would be grounded for ever and would never be trusted by anyone again. If it was me that shot the gun I would be grounded for sure and I would be thought as a horrible example towards younger kids or anyone around my age. My parents would be babysitting me all the time just staring at me making sure I wasn't touching or doing anything dangerous. I think that Jack would be grounded for ever because his had been in the navy so he was probably pretty rough on Jack.
If Jack actually shot Miss.Volker I would think that jack would be grounded for a long time, and i agree with Helli W, he would not be trusted by anyone, his parents might not even play with dangerous stuff and Jack's dad might get really angry with him and take away all the war supplies and hide it. Jack will probably get the worse summer ever because his grounded and Jack won't get trusted with dangerous supplies ever again by his parents.
I would think that jack would go to jail/juvie.Shooting someone is a federal offense and you could get some long years for that even though it was an accident. She could have gotten killed if not seriously injured. That would mean longer years. Miss volker or her family might have sued him so put money on top of that.
